New Hospital Now Open!
Rainier Veterinary Hospital’s new, state-of-the-art veterinary hospital is now open at 815 Rainier Avenue South in downtown Seattle.
“Rainier Veterinary Hospital was founded more than 90 years ago as one of the first veterinary hospitals in the Seattle area,” said owner Dr. Debra Nicholson. “Our team felt that it was only fitting we pay tribute to the neighborhood that helped build this rich history with a flagship facility that will serve the community for decades to come.”
The new Rainier Veterinary Hospital was designed by the team at Axiom Design Build hosts a modern, urban space with ample natural light, large windows and an inviting two-story entryway atrium. Corstone LLC took the lead on implementation of the design and overall construction management. Our new hospital includes:
- Eight (8) exam rooms
- Private suites for surgery and dental procedures
- Expanded treatment spaces with separated cat and dog treatment bays
- Secluded comfort room with private client exit for pet parents experiencing the loss of a pet
- Dedicated digital x-ray and ultrasound room
- Isolation rooms with separate entrance
- Separate treatment area for cats and kittens with a goal of reducing in-hospital stress
- Dog ward with indoor/outdoor access as needed
- Fenced outdoor dog runs with artificial grass
- Expanded food preparation and laundry facilities
- Ample client parking
- Large employee conference room and continuing education classroom, break room and outdoor deck
- Work stations and offices for medical team and hospital management
- Space for potential expanded services including acupuncture, urgent care and expanded continuing education programming
- Acoustical soundproofing throughout hospital
- Powerful HVAC system to support an allergen free environment
