Veterinary Assistant

Rainier Veterinary Hospital is building towards the future with construction well underway on our new, state-of-the-art hospital. In preparation, we are seeking full-time veterinary assistants now to join our team and help us build our core staff for the launch of the new facility.

We are seeking motivated veterinary assistants who are looking for long-term employment with an independently-owned, established veterinary practice in the Seattle area. Candidates must be able to provide excellent customer care as well as perform the duties necessary to support the clinic and assist our veterinarians. The successful candidates must be detail oriented, reliable, and genuinely care and be concerned for our patients’ well-being. They must be self-motivated and take direction on tasks that can be completed in a timely fashion, with or without supervision. Previous experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right individuals!

Qualifications

We welcome inquiries from those who are passionate about client care and are seeking a rewarding position with a beloved veterinary practice that is committed to the community in which it serves. The well-qualified candidates will have:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (required)
  • One year of previous vet assistant or tech experience (preferred)
  • Be detail oriented and enjoy a fast-paced work environment
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exhibit dedication to team and patient care
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems (knowledge of Impromed/Infinity software is a plus)
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and stand for a full eight hours
