Cat of the Month: October 2016
Say hello to sweet Joey, a 4-month-old kitten who used to be feral, but now lovingly gives Eskimo kisses, tons of cuddles, and lots of quality time with her sister.

Meet Matador (aka Matadoodle), a 14-year-old Baja California street cat who enjoys fresh catnip, nori, and attacking feet, although the latter was more in his kitten days. Despite a recent leg amputation, Matador is still a social and active kitty.
Our September Dog of the Month, Dakota, is a 15-year-old Rottweiler-Chow mix who loves to eat, go on walks, travel, and dress in costumes. And you might say that Dakota rescued his owner as much as she rescued him.
Meet our August Dogs of the Month! Archie is a Corgi-Chihuahua, and Charlotte is a Staffordshire bull terrier. The two pups are loved and adored by their owners, love to sleep, love people, and (mostly) love each other.
Are you looking to welcome a sweet and loving cat into your home? We have just the kitty for you. Meet our August Cat of the Month: Mufasa, a snuggly, cuddly, furball of love who was rescued by a neighbor and is up for adoption.
Learn more about Dr. Colleen Beestman, who has been with Rainier Veterinary Hospital for almost a year. She loves her three rescue dogs and is exploring alternative medicines for pets, like acupuncture.
Take cover! Our July Cat of the Month is Extreme Danger, who cuddles like a champ, befriends neighborhood squirrels, and pounces on defenseless rubber bands.
Joe and Margo, three-year-old Great Dane mixes and siblings, were adopted as a pair and have been named July’s Dog of the Month in the same fashion.
Dr. Debra Nicholson purchased Rainier Veterinary Hospital in April 2014 and has strived to maintain the same values put in place more than 80 years ago. Learn more about her vast experience—from monkeys and mountain lions to Seattle’s dogs and cats.
We’re kicking off a special new program, and we’re bestowing our first month’s honor of Cat of the Month to George Michael, an 8-year-old tabby who came in with four legs but left with three.
