Key

Veterinary Assistant

Influenced by her love for animals, Key took a professional pivot toward Vet Med and hasn’t looked back! Now in her third year in the field, starting with us marks the fifth veterinary hospital Key’s supported. Holding veterinary assistant and client care positions, she’s strengthened her skillset and gained invaluable experience in each role.

“I chose this path simply because I want to be a voice for the little guys,” Key shared. “My parents influenced me to rescue and rehabilitate the strays within our neighborhood and I began to realize that I’d much rather spend my life working in veterinary medicine.”

The fast pace and unlimited learning opportunities within Vet Med keep Key motivated every day. When problem-solving for both patients and clients, Key’s approach is to remain flexible, empathetic, and compassionate. She finds these three values to be extremely successful and believes that every problem will have a solution if you’re willing to listen and communicate.

Always focused on growth, she welcomes open-ended questions and training opportunities for feedback to better assist clients and patients. We are so grateful to have Key on the Rainier Veterinary Hospital team.
